Well, I am officially here in Perth, living in my new home. WHAT THE HECK!

I still cannot comprehend the fact that I just moved across the world. I prepared for it for a year, but nothing really truly prepares you for what to expect until you actually just do it. So I did it, and so far it has been great.

The second I left the airport, I felt like I had never left Perth. I choose to believe that was God’s way of welcoming me back to my new home away from home. It definitely makes the transition a lot easier coming to a place that instantly feels comfortable and familiar.

My first full day in Perth I went to my favourite coffee shop, the infamous Lincoln’s (first purchase I made in Perth because priorities right?! Jk, I will definitely be budgeting a lot more this time around), took the bus to the city centre and went shopping for all the household items I did not have room to pack. It is crazy how I have not been in Perth for a year and a half, yet I still remembered how to get everywhere. It is nice that I do not have to rely on people to get things done!

Speaking of people, I am living with 12 housemates, all girls! If that sounds like a lot to you, it does not compare to my time on DTS where I lived with 40 girls in one dorm (and it was actually an incredible experience). Sometime in the near future, living situations will be reduced to 6 people in a house due to new living laws, so I do not know if I will be in this house for much longer, and with who! But I know regardless of what happens, it will be good.

I now have the rest of the day to relax and get settled in, because come tomorrow, my new routine will start and my life at ywam Perth will officially begin!
